WOOD - CONCERT ETUDE WITH TRACK AND CINEMA FOR SNARE DRUM AND LOW TOM

'Wood' is an intermediate solo for two-mallet marimba and cinema. In this short work, the performer leads the audience through the many important stages that wood–a vital resource for life on Earth–undergoes throughout the world. 'Wood' is a perfect solo to develop techniques including rolls, arpeggiated passages, and extensive octave work between the hands. Additionally, this solo serves as a vehicle to venture into bass clef reading (treble clef only version also available).
The student will learn beginning to intermediate skills in this piece.
