ICE - CONCERT ETUDE WITH TRACK AND CINEMA FOR TRIANGLE AND GLOCKENSPIEL
This multi-media track for Triangle and Glockenspiel is a part of a larger collection that focuses on introducing technology and creative compositions to beginning level percussion.
ICE seeks to capture the stark beauty of a frozen world. It opens with a snowfall as the player creates twinkling sounds with triangle and glockenspiel simultaneously. We then zoom out to sweeping landscapes and bask in the grandeur. However, the freeze is not permanent. The sun inevitably comes out, and the landscape melts as the music grows increasingly frantic. Finally, life begins to peek through the ice, and spring has arrived.
The student will learn beginning to intermediate skills in this piece.
